The orchestras
began in 1999, with the formation of the
YPTO for young musicians. It rapidly
became so successful that a
senior orchestra, the CAVMS orchestra, was formed in
September 2000. The concept behind the orchestra is a
partnership between the very best in music educationists
and professional musicians.
John Leach conducts the senior orchestra and
Max Joseph the YPTO. Orchestras and other ensembles
are run weekly by a first-class team of instrumental
teachers, involving the widest possible repertoire
available. Professional performing musicians visit
regularly and make a valuable contribution.
The CAVMS
ensembles are always in development, as we look to
create new ones, whilst encouraging the growth of our
current
ensembles.
