EXCITING
CHANGES FOR SEPTEMBER 2010
We are always striving to improve the way in which we
work and help to develop young musicians and to this end
we are changing the structure of the CAVMS ensembles.
The very successful Senior Orchestra will continue
unchanged with it's great mix of classical and popular
repertoire. To better serve the needs of the younger
players, we are splitting YPTO into two groups.
The CAVMS Wind Band will give young Wind, Brass and
Percussion players the perfect opportunity to develop
their ensemble skills with repertoire especially
tailored to their needs.
“Only Strings Aloud” is the ideal ensemble for the
developing String player. “Only Strings Aloud” prepares
students for the CAVMS orchestra by introducing ensemble
playing, developing listening and having fun at the same
time. Open to all string players from beginners (open
strings) up to grade 4.
The concept
behind the orchestras is a partnership between the very
best in music educationists and professional musicians.
The orchestras and other ensembles are run weekly by a
first-class team of instrumental
teachers, involving the widest possible repertoire
available.
Professional
performing musicians visit regularly and make a valuable
